High Fructose Corn Syrup consumption CAUSES the intake of menthyl-glyoxal (MG), a known glyco-toxin, that inhibits glycolysis from the KREBS CYCLE (fancy words for stopping the conversion of stored body fat, which HFCS automatically is convert to, along with blood triglycerides).
Inhibiting conversion back to energy or blood glucose (by MG from HFCS) cause weight gain, retention, as well as insulin résistance and diabetes.
Thus, in laymen’s language, High Fructose Corn Syrup (labeled glucose, or glucose-fructose also) is once again proven to be a PRIMARY cause of heart disease, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, depression, cancers, insulin resistance and diabetes, as well as obesity/weight gain, in the western food and beverage chain.
