Benzene has for decades been known as high carcinogenic from diesel exhaust, however the distillates in gasoline are just as bad, if not worse; several major and irrefutable studies show the propensity to lung and other related cancers of  ALL real estate (residential or otherwise) is massively increased over time within three miles of any major freeway in the USA; and even the mortality tables for life expectancy (how long you are going to live) in insurance premium rated have long ago reflected this.
