Omegas in Zija®, from moringa, are higher and far more absorbable than from fish and ocean sources.

|Summary:||In a population-based survey involving data collected from 2,956 subjects 50 years of age or older, total intake of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids and was found to be inversely associated with prevalent hearing loss (OR per SD increase in energy-adjusted omega-3 PUFAs=0.89) and incident hearing loss (OR per SD increase in long-chain omega-3 PUFAs=0.76). Moreover, fish intake was also associated with a significantly reduced risk of developing presbycusis. Subjects who consumed 2 or more servings of fish per week were found to have a 42% reduced risk of developing presbycusis at follow-up (multivariate adjusted OR=0.58), as compared to those consuming less than 1 serving per week of fish. The authors conclude, “Dietary intervention with omega-3 PUFAs could prevent or delay the development of age-related hearing loss.”|
