Polydextrose (touted as ‘satiety’ inducing in the attached article) is a genetically modified corn based ‘polymer’ (plastic, that literally looks like clear little beads of silicon putty)!
“Polymer” is not my word, but that of The United States Of America Code Of Federal Regulations (21 CFR 172.841) which also states polydextrose to be diarrhea causing or “laxative inducing”.
Polydextrose is a derivative of alcohol distilled (also chromosomal telomere destroying and cancer causing) polyol sweeteners (xylitol, sorbitol, maltitol, mannitol, hydrogenated starch hydrolystates, maltitriltol, isomalt, hydrolyzed inulin, erythritol) and are NOT “naturally occurring”, but are in fact VERY HARMFUL FRANKEN-CHEMISTRY!
Argumentation/spin that xylitol is from birch bark, or some of these chemical polyol sweeteners are naturally found in plants and fruit, in the form of these harsh/harmful chemicals, synthesized from corn, or other starch based commodities, is a TOTAL LIE.
DuPont’s funded spin article, or so-called study, clearly defines them as DEATH MERCHANTS, seeking to harm anyone for profit (ditto on Archer Daniel Midland, AE Staley, Danisco, Monsanto, Cargill, Corn Processing Corporation, Roquette, Proctor & Gamble, Tate & Lyle, Hoechst Celanese, Imperial-Holly Chemical/Starches/Sugar, etc.).
DuPont claims a 10% LESS absorption rate of calories by using polydextrose, “AFTER consuming OTHER soluble fiber” (which polydextrose is not, nor is it a safe sweetener).
For DuPont to claim this PLASTIC is part of any safe weight control regiment is not only totally insincere, but is in fact a fraud.
You would be well advised not to be consuming ANY polydextrose, polyols, or alcohol distilled sweeteners (found in many sugar free or low calorie brands), because like I say: “I cannot fix stupid or dead.”
Ask yourself a simple question: If all these low calorie, no calorie, low/reduced/no fat, so-called diets/brands/retail shakes/powders/weight loss drugs/supplements (with point scales, weigh-in sessions, celebrities claiming weight loss in ads, cardboard tasting meals shipped to your homes, etc.) actually, or permanently worked, then how come we have gone from a globe with no significant weight retention issues in the mid 1960’s, to upwards of 70% of the entire population over weight now (2012)?!
“Invariably the simplest answer tends to be the correct one” Ockham’s Razor.
The answer is: we are over fed, under nourished, over drugged, with knowingly and PROVEN harmful ingredients, brands, food, beverages, cosmetics, soaps and household cleaning brands, fragrances, flavors, colors, drugs, for PROFIT, like polydextrose and High Fructose Corn Syrup!

This “criminal and mass eugenic poisoning”, to quote an globally eminent MD/PhD friend of mine, is allowed by bought and paid for governments, and their codification regulators, who work for the bribed politicians (irrespective of political allegiances) with your tax dollars being used to harm you, through entrenched non-elected lobbyists/lawyers.
Want to take back your life and be well? Begin by just saying “NO” and refuse to purchase any such harmful products and brands. Such consumer behavior collapsed the “PINK SLIME” pushers in the meat industry – literally over night (but as posted on this blog, those same meat operation are merely trying ‘bait and switch’, to other harmful acids and other nasty chemicals).
YOU, the consumer do have the ultimate power with your purchasing behavior and practices!
Waiting on governments to do anything morally or ethically correct, but protect themselves, is pure proven folly.

DuPont Nutrition & Health claims that a new study has demonstrated the satiating effect of its polydextrose ingredient, with participants eating less food at a subsequent meal after consuming the low-calorie soluble fiber.
Study gives weight to polydextrose satiety claim, says DuPont
