Recently, I got to recharge my batteries, a little, in a different way, by taking Elisa, my bride, and our 13 year old daughter, Catarina, as well as out Italian niece Camilla, spending a month with us this summer, from near Rome, to Disneyland.
I have not been to Walt Disney’s 1955 creation, since the first year the California Adventure Park section opened, on an Institute Of Food Technologists Annual Convention VIP Pass (nearby at the Anaheim Convention Center), for one evening.
The Carousel renovation is lovely also, for kids of all ages.
I do not like large public crowds, nor long lines (particularly in hot/humid weather)…but I think few of us do.
How many more times am I as a father going to take my little girl (Earth to Russ – she’s in High School!) on rides?
One ride, I loved when I first went on it, and stood in line several times to go back on it, was “Soarin’ Over California”; it’s really not a bad simulation of flying like a bird; like one might do in their dreams.
Attached, find a video version of this ride, which is far more realistic when there in person.
The video shows the beauty of my native state, that unfortunately has become hamstrung by decades of greedy out of control spending politicians, and unchecked government entrenched bureaucracies gone wild with virtually no accountability(California on the books is essentially bankrupt, though the 8th or 9th largest economy on the planet; go figure?).
There is no substitute for actually doing, and dreaming alone does not get anyone to a defined real goal, or achieved result.
Which is the point of my ramblings; if you are not yet signed up, as well as everyone you know, for the third weekend in October, for the Zija® International Convention, you need to be at: www.zijaifeunlimited.com
Argumentation you cannot afford to be in Salt Lake City is totally BOGUS, as Southwest Airlines is running 21 day in advance specials, with no bag fees, only at www.southwest.com, from the majority of North America departure points, to Salt Lake City, during the Fall, when Summer higher travel rates, come down.
I will see you all in Salt Lake City this October!
