Perhaps (note sarcasm) the U of T, or their kin next door, at the U of K, define “fusion” as a back holler still, that yields extra white lightening ?!
Cold fusion was proven in January of 2011 at the University Of Bologna, in Italy, and further confirmed within months by US Naval Propulsion engineers, with EXTREMELY LOW COST, safe and portable (not government centralized, tax payer subsidized, over priced and radiation or terror prone means).
Cold fusion is by far the lowest cost of energy on the planet, at less than one half of one cent per kilowatt hour (University Of bologna, Italy CONSERVATIVE numbers), and small generation plants that do not require massive loss over costly transmission lines, like obsolete centralized fossil fuels, steam, geothermal, solar, hydro, etc.
Hmmmmm (note extreme sarcasm), maybe the PROFIT motive paradigm has tried to bury this limitless and very low cost solution, for quite some time, by government (whores for established power interest and their profits) or academic and research labs (also in Big Power’s pockets).
