I do not care what your politics are, but KNOW the First Lady’s efforts to ‘adjust’ the food and beverage chain to healthy choices was financed by a lobby group for Big Food and Soda called The Grocery Manufacturer’s Association.
It is NOT surprising to me The White House has ‘”backed off” their initial statement to rid the place of harmful and deadly soda, diet soda, and refined sugary drinks, because tens of millions in bribe/lobby money was spent to protect the status quo of soda and HFCS flooding the food and beverage chain to all incumbent politicians.

First lady Michelle Obama says banning big servings of sugary drinks isn’t anything she’d want to do at the federal level, but she offered some kind words Tuesday for New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s effort to do just that. She later issued a statement backing away from taking a stand on New York’s controversial proposed ban.
