Connecticut took the first step requiring producers to label genetically modified food Wednesday, as a legislative committee overwhelmingly backed a measure promoted as giving consumers more information while avoiding the debate over health concerns.

Is the Big Gulp to blame for obesity in the Big Apple? New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg thinks so.
The FDA has denied the Corn Refiner’s petition to ‘bait and switch’ their disease causing (diabetes, depression, heart disease, cancers, obesity, IQ lowering, dementia) ingredient, chemically derived High Fructose Corn Syrup, to ‘corn sugar’ (posted on this blog 2 days ago).
The major lawsuit against the Corn Refiners would appear to be strengthen, launched by the Cane Sugar growers, as a result of the Corn Refiners’ false claims, false marketing, and false labeling.
The TV ads run, by the pathologically lying Corn Refiners, in the past few years nationally, are not only factually a total fraud (HFCS is a monosaccharide 1.41 times sweetener than cane sugar – a disaccharide – at 1/5th the cost, and HFCS is metabolized to fat /triglycerides/LDL cholesterol) now the Corn Refiners are being laughed at by the mainstream comedy shows.
