Why Cholesterol Damages Arteries: Cholesterol Crystals Lead to Life-Threatening Inflammation in Blood Vessel Walls

The leading cause of bad for you cholesterol (LDL and high Triglycerides) is the consumption of High Fructose Corn Syrup.

~ Uncle Russ

ScienceDaily (Apr. 29, 2010) — In addition to crystallized cholesterol, atherosclerotic plaques always contain large quantities of immune cells but, surprisingly, no bacteria or viruses. It was previously unclear just how the body’s own defence forces are called into action. Even animals that are kept in an absolutely sterile environment can suffer from “clogging” or “furring” of the arteries when their food contains high levels of cholesterol. The same relationship is found in humans.

It Is The High Fructose Corn Syrup, Stupid!

Watch Dr. Robert Lustig, MD’s lecture: SUGAR – THE BITTER TRUTH post on this web site.

At average Americans consumed LESS than 6 pounds per year of total sweeteners in 1905, today the REAL number  (no USDA sand bagged numbers) is very close to 200 pounds per year.

Worried about your cholesterol? You may need to cut back on your sugar intake, a new study suggests.

BIG PHARMA RIPPING YOU OFF AGAIN.

~ Uncle Russ

(NaturalNews) The utter worthlessness of Big Pharma’s cholesterol drugs was demonstrated recently by a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine which showed that niacin (a low-cost B vitamin) out-performs Merck’s drug Zetia for preventing the build-up of arterial plaque, a symptom of cardiovascular disease.

If You Take Simvastatin to Control Cholesterol, Watch out for Infection, Says New Report

You cannot trust Big Pharma.

ScienceDaily (Mar. 18, 2010) — Simvastatin might help us control our cholesterol, but when it comes to infection, it’s an entirely different story says a new research study published in the Journal of Leukocyte Biology. In the research report, scientists from Italy show that simvastatin delivers a one-two punch to the immune system. First it impairs the ability of specialized immune cells, called macrophages, to kill pathogens. Then, it enhances production of molecules, called cytokines, which trigger and sustain inflammation.

Forget all this hype from Big Pharma about a new drug that may or may not work.

Lower your cholesterol all naturally with the following home made cocktail:

32 Ounces of freshly squeezed oranges (not store bought and pasteurized brand orange juices)

32 Ounces of freshly juice apples with pulp (store bought apple juice will not work)

3 ounces of organic apple cider vinegar

Blend these three together, and this is an 8 day supply, MAKE SURE TO REFRIGERATE after blending.

Drink 8 ounces per day, on an empty stomach, for 30 days straight; yes you need to remake the recipe above, every 8 days.

After 30 days take one to two cans of Zija per day for nutritional maintenance.

ScienceDaily (Mar. 11, 2010) — People whose “bad” cholesterol and risk of future heart disease stay too high despite cholesterol-lowering statin therapy can safely lower it by adding a drug that mimics the action of thyroid hormone. In a report published in the Mar. 11, issue of the New England Journal of Medicine, Johns Hopkins and Swedish researchers say an experimental drug called eprotirome lowered cholesterol up to 32 percent in those already on statins, an effect equal to that expected from doubling the statin drug doses, without harmful side effects.

No one should be on statin drugs!

Feb. 17 (Bloomberg) — Pfizer Inc.’s Lipitor, AstraZeneca Plc’s Crestor and rival drugs to lower cholesterol also boost diabetes rates by about 9 percent, according to a study that quantified a complication that doctors only recently discovered.

The drugs, which generated $34 billion in 2008 sales, prevent heart attacks, strokes and death, and their benefits outweigh the diabetes risk, said lead researcher David Preiss, a research fellow at the University of Glasgow. The pills were linked to one additional case of diabetes and prevented five heart attacks and deaths for every 1,000 patients who took them for a year, he said.

Genzyme, Isis Say Cholesterol Drug Met Trial Goal

Here’s an example of an attempt to treat, not cure, cholesterol, with expensive drugs, just like statins, at great expense, and many adverse, or potential long term, side effects, in the attached article.

Much high cholesterol (bad for you LDL and triglycerides) can be arrested and reversed by eliminating HFCS causing triglycerides from your diet, plus a healthy diet, low in hydrogenated fats or oils, plus a home made cocktail you may consider trying on your own, at low cost, that worked for me, detailed below…

My total cholesterol was 362 with triglycerides over 900 before I took this home suggested blend, 30 days later (3 to 4 days of mild diarrhea in the detoxification process) my total cholesterol was 142, with triglycerides below 100.

After 30 days take one to two cans of Zija per day.

Avoid liver harming statins at all cost.

NEW YORK (AP) – Genzyme Corp. and Isis Pharmaceuticals Inc. said their cholesterol drug mipomersen met its goals in a study that tested the drug on patients with a genetic disorder that raises levels of “bad” cholesterol in the blood.

Despite the positive results, Isis shares plunged after the company said it wants to finish other studies and get the drug on the market before it seeks approval for the illness that was part of the trial. It plans to file first for approval in other cholesterol diseases that are less common and more severe.
