North of the Monterey Bay, where I live, is a place called ‘MAVERICK’S’, notorious for large winter wave action, (in my opinion) for the truly insane of surfing. 

Many have been killed at Maverick’s (or as I often say – ‘I cannot fix stupid or dead’).

Conversely, American Theologian Richard John Neuhaus, also cautions such a view can be “depicted in angelic hues, untouched by the ambiguities, corruptions, and lust for power associated by mere mortals” and “therefore caution is always in order”.

I was recently asked something to the effect about what I might find enticing or profound in this life?

I am not sure I am even paraphrasing the question correctly.

I believe I answer something like “I see patterns”.

Albert Einstein was asked by The Dean of Letters & Science, on coming to Princeton, in the late 1930’s, what inspiration quote might he place on the hearth of a fireplace, in a new science building, to inspire future graduate students and faculty?

Einstein though for a moment, puffing on his pipe, and replied in German, quoting Johann von Goethe: “God may be subtle, but malicious He is not”; the quote is there to this very day.

You SEE, there is a plan, you merely have to scratch and claw to figure it out.

Use your mind, use your talents, use your soul, use that given or earned, to attain an unlimited life.
